Elena Juaristi Besalduch is a distinguished Spanish academic and researcher with a solid background in Law and a profound commitment to gender equality. Born in Valencia, she completed her Bachelor's degree in Law at the University of Valencia in 2007, continuing her academic journey to achieve her doctorate with international mention at the University Cardenal Herrera in 2015, where she was awarded the Extraordinary Doctoral Prize.
From her early steps in higher education in 2009, as an FPI fellow at the University UCH-CEU, Elena has demonstrated exceptional dedication to teaching, research, and academic management. Her experience spans various fields of Law, from International to Administrative, reflecting her versatility and adaptability.
Her commitment to gender equality is manifested not only in her academic work but also in her active participation in promoting equality policies both nationally and internationally. She has taught classes on gender equality and has contributed to the design and implementation of equality plans at the University, highlighting her role in the Quality Assurance Commission and as a member of the Advisory Council of the Equality Unit.

Her doctoral thesis, titled "Analysis of European Union regulations and jurisprudence of the Court of Justice of the EU in the field of reconciliation of personal, family, and work life", is an example of her deep commitment to these areas. Currently, Elena plays a crucial role in academic management as Head of Postgraduate Studies in the Humanities, Social Sciences, and Law area, Quality Coordinator, and Secretary of the Department of Public Law at the Faculty of Law, Business, and Political Sciences. Furthermore, she is the coordinator of the Master's in Mediation and Efficient Conflict Management, as well as several expert titles in collaboration with the Illustrious Bar Association of Valencia.
Her commitment to research and the promotion of gender equality has led her to collaborate in projects both nationally and at the European level, including her participation in a report to the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child.
