Dr. Mª Dolores Algora Weber


 Dr. María Dolores Algora Weber is a distinguished scholar renowned for her expertise in Contemporary History, particularly specializing in the Arab-Islamic World and the Sahel region. With a Ph.D. in Contemporary History from the Complutense University of Madrid in 1993, she has established an illustrious academic and research career.

Spanning from 1990 to 2018, Dr. Algora held the esteemed position of Full Professor of Contemporary History and International Relations at CEU San Pablo University in Madrid. Her extensive teaching portfolio included courses on Universal Contemporary History, Contemporary History of Spain, and Afro-Asian Countries within the undergraduate program of the Journalism Faculty. Additionally, she contributed to seminars in the second cycle of the Journalism Faculty and played a pivotal role in the doctoral program at the Institute of Studies for Democracy, focusing on contemporary Spain.

Currently, Dr. María Dolores Algora Weber serves as a Senior Researcher at the International Security Center of Francisco de Vitoria University in Madrid. Alongside her research endeavors, she holds teaching positions at Camilo José Cela University and Alfonso X El Sabio University.
